Jennifer A. Jeffs is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian International Council (CIC). Prior to joining the CIC, Dr. Jeffs was the Deputy Executive Director of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), where she remains a Senior Fellow. Dr. Jeffs was the founder and director of the Center for Inter-American Studies and Programs, a Latin American think tank based at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), a private economics-focused university in Mexico City. She was also a professor in the Department of International Relations at ITAM. Her background includes positions at the Council of the Americas/Americas Society in New York City and in the foreign exchange business. Her Ph.D. in International Political Economy is from the University of Toronto.
